Deepwater Species

The Deepwater group manages flagship products that are amongst world leaders in sustainable fisheries management.

Ten major species are managed by the Deepwater Group.  These popular seafood products include hoki, squid, orange roughy, ling and hake and are among New Zealand's leading seafood exports, sought after by major markets worldwide.

In the followings pages detailed descriptions are provided for each of the Deepwater species (see menu on left to choose the species you are interested in). 

For each of the species you can view an image of the product, read a product profile with detailed characteristics, find out when the product is available and fishing methods used to catch it.  You can also find the market name for the species in the world market that interests you.
