The Deepwater Group has been founded within a stable and effective system of governance to meet the many challenges of the current global environment and to ensure sustainable management of the deepwater fisheries resource.

Central to the governance framework is self-regulation for the Deepwater Group stakeholders through a comprehensive strategic plan. The plan includes an agreed mission of "optimizing the sustainable economic value of our deepwater fisheries" and a vision of continuing to be "recognized for excellence in fisheries management".

For each KPA, goals, measures, targets, actions, responsibilities and budgets are identified and regularly reviewed. The performance of the Company and of its Directors and staff is assessed against a work plan as approved by the Board of Directors.
